American rallycross standout Mitchell deJong is on the entry list for the RallyX Euro League season opener at Circuito Internacional de Montalegre, kicking off the 2025 campaign on March 29-30. deJong’s FC2 entry reunites him with BAK40 Motorsports, the team that brought him back to the sport last fall to great success in a pair of American events. It also marks his return to RallyX for the first time since he won the RallyX on Ice championship in 2017.
deJong is one of America’s quickest homegrown rallycross talents, and has been a mainstay at the front of the field wherever he’s run since he joined the sport in 2013. After winning an X Games medal as a rookie, he returned in 2014 as one of the dominant drivers in America, winning the GRC Lites championship with seven victories in nine races. In 2016, he made his Supercar debut, and in 2017, he finished fifth in points with multiple podiums and was Supercar Rookie of the year.

The California native made his long-awaited return to rallycross last fall, when BAK40 added him to their roster for Nitrocross rounds at Richmond Raceway and Utah Motorsports Campus. In the first-ever events for the FC2, deJong quickly found his way to the front of the pack, sweeping his heats in both doubleheaders and splitting the finals each weekend with Tommi Hallman. deJong’s results at Richmond and Utah put him in the Next EVO points lead at the conclusion of the series.
Alongside his real-world racing commitments, deJong is one of the world’s best esports racers. He has won the iRacing Rallycross World Championship, competed in iRacing’s professional eNASCAR and Grand Prix Series, and remains a factory-backed Porsche driver in the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup. He sits third in points in that championship with three events remaining, coming off a heat win and third place finish in his most recent event. deJong’s next race in the series is also scheduled for the night of March 29.
