With the start of the RallyX Championship fast approaching, Jimmy Terpereau and Arnaud De Ferrier have confirmed their participation in the competition.
While the former French Super1600 champion is concentrating on a full season in the Portuguese championship for 2025, he will nevertheless be competing in the Montalegre event, scheduled for 29-30 March.
For this occasion, Jimmy Terpereau will share his Citroën C2 Super1600 with Arnaud De Ferrier. De Ferrier will take the wheel for the first race of the weekend, while Terpereau will drive the second race the following day.
“I had originally planned to compete in the RallyX South Championship this winter, but due to time constraints I was unable to build the Peugeot 306 Maxi engine I wanted to fit to my Peugeot 208. Then, just a few days ago, I sold the Peugeot 208 as well, so my only option for Montalegre was to bring back my Citroën C2 Super1600,” explains Terpereau.

One thing is for sure: the Frenchman is in a race against time to be ready for Montalegre.
“I have to collect the car in the middle of next week as we have decided to install a new wiring harness. Once that’s done, we’ll have to reassemble the whole car, pick up the engine from my tuner along with all the bodywork components, put the engine on the dyno and then head off to Montalegre.”
There is no doubt that the former FIA European Championship competitor hopes to surprise his rivals in the Open 2WD category.
“I don’t really know what to expect, but I’m eager to discover the RallyX Championship. I’ll use the first race day to closely observe the competition in Open 2WD. That will give me a quick idea of what I can aim for in Race 2.”
Meanwhile, Arnaud De Ferrier will take the opportunity to make his international debut. A specialist in Fol’Car, the Frenchman made the switch to Rallycross last season and competed in four races at the wheel of a Skoda Fabia Super1600 formerly run by Volland Racing.
