A rising star in British junior rallycross, Phoebe Cake is preparing for a major leap in her career when she makes her Supercar Lites debut in the 2025 RallyX North Championship. At just 15 years of age, the young Briton will join forces with the renowned Team Färén.
Having spent two seasons in the UK Junior Rallycross championship – a category that helped launch the careers of Kevin Hansen and Patrick O’Donovan – Phoebe is now ready to take the next big step by stepping up to the Supercar Lites grid.
After finishing 11th in the championship standings in 2023, she made significant progress last season, finishing fifth in the Motorsport UK Junior Rallycross Championship. She capped off her impressive campaign with a breakthrough moment, claiming her first career podium in the final race of 2024.
Determined to continue her upward trajectory, Phoebe Cake has carefully chosen the RallyX North Championship as the next step in her career.
“I chose RallyX because the format is fantastic and the atmosphere seems just as incredible. Also, my long-term goal is to compete in Supercar, so moving into Supercar Lites was the logical next step for me. It’s a class and a car that promises to be exciting. I also can’t deny that this programme gives me the opportunity to travel to different countries, which is an exciting bonus”

At the same time, Phoebe remains committed to her Junior Rallycross programme in Great Britain, where she hopes to make an impact this season.
“Having secured my first podium finish in Junior Rallycross at the end of last season, I also plan to continue competing in the 5 Nations Trophy with the Suzuki Swift #631. I hope to be able to fight for the title. This junior championship has helped me to improve and develop as a driver, allowing me to consistently challenge for the top spots”
Although the move to Supercar Lites represents a new challenge, the young Brit is keeping his feet on the ground.
“My goals are clear: I hope to fight for a few podiums. But most of all, I want to enjoy the experience, have fun and make my family proud of my performances”

Her first experience with the new car has already left a strong impression.
“I had the opportunity to test the Supercar Lites in Sweden a few weeks ago and I must say that I enjoyed every minute behind the wheel – even though I am still getting used to the left-hand drive position and the sequential gearbox.”
For Phoebe Cake, racing isn’t just a passion – it’s a family legacy.
“My role model is my brother Matt, who I’ve followed since he started competing in local autograss races at the age of 12, before moving on to stock cars, where he won a championship in 2023. Last year he tried his hand at Rallycross in my dad’s car and now he’s concentrating on Stock Rods competition as well as Rallycross. Motorsport really does run in the family – my dad started racing at 19 and won several championships. However, it was only last year that I got to see him in action behind the wheel of a rallycross car.”
Now, under the guidance of the experienced Eric Färén, Phoebe is ready to take on her biggest challenge yet – an opportunity that came after careful consideration.
“I first came into contact with Eric Färén last season when my father and I were looking at different championship options. Eric has an excellent reputation, which is one of the main reasons why we decided to work with him. He believed in our project from the start and didn’t hesitate to welcome us to Sweden. Having such an experienced team principal will undoubtedly help me to adapt to this new environment as quickly as possible.”
