After competing in the RallyX championship in 2023 and concentrating on the Swedish championship in 2024, Alex Lindeqvist has confirmed that he will take part in a full season of the RallyX Euro League alongside his team-mate Jonathan Hoffman.
Despite suffering a spectacular crash on the Kouvola circuit in 2023 during his debut campaign in the CrossCar Senior category, Alex Lindeqvist has since returned to top form.
Driving the Speedcar Wonder chassis, he made a strong impression in his national championship last season, narrowly missing out on the title by just 10 points to 2023 RallyX champion Sebastian Enholm.
Finishing third overall behind Elias Nilsson and Sebastian Enholm, the 18-year-old Swede has decided to step up his game by joining the Euro League series.
“I had a really great season in 2024,” says Alex.
“We managed to finish all the races with very good results, but now I want to come back and fight in RallyX while giving my best.”
For Alex Lindeqvist, the decision to join the Euro League series was a pragmatic one.
“I had already discussed it with Jonathan [Hoffman] last season, but when we saw the creation of the Euro League series with some of the most exciting tracks in rallycross, we knew we couldn’t pass up the opportunity. After some discussions we quickly realised that we had to commit to a full season in RallyX. We’ll tackle this championship with two cars and two mechanics, while my father will of course be an integral part of our team”

According to the young Swede, a lifelong dream is about to come true.
“I have been competing in CrossCar since I was six years old. I still remember my first race at Alvsbyn and I haven’t stopped driving since then. I’ve been on the tracks for a long time and to be honest, this year’s RallyX calendar is just incredible,” explains Alex.
“Ever since I was a little boy it has been my dream to become a full-time rallycross driver and now I get to race on legendary tracks like Montalegre, Estering and Riga. To be honest, we’re expecting an absolutely crazy experience.”
A challenge for which Alex is preparing thoroughly.
“We are working hard. On the technical side, we’re improving the performance of our cars on the starts, which are crucial in rallycross. We’re also trying to find the best set-up to adapt to all track conditions. Whether it’s raining or extremely hot, we want to be fully prepared. On a personal level, whether at home or in the gym, I’m working hard on my physical condition and trying to improve my reaction times.”
This quest for perfection has only one goal.
“We’ve planned everything. I have told my father, Jonathan, and the rest of the team that our only goal is to win. We won’t settle for anything less than first place.”
Encouraged by his performances in last year’s Swedish Championship, Alex Lindeqvist is confident that he has the speed to compete at the front of the field.
“Last year I had to compete with strong drivers like Elias Nilsson and Sebastian Enholm. Sebastian won the RallyX title in 2023, so we knew he would be a serious contender, but we proved that we had the potential to challenge and beat them. If I managed to get ahead of them in some races, it simply means that we have the pace to compete at the top. When you look at someone like Sebastian Enholm’s record and his vast experience in CrossCar, then you know we’re on the right track.”
