Frode Holte var först ut med sin anmälan i januari månad. Nu har fler norrmän hittat till RallyX Nordic och startfältet är redan på väg att bräcka fjolårets siffror. Bland annat har meriterade namn som Morten Bermingrud och Frode Holte aviserat att det är full satsning på RallyX Nordic som gäller 2016.
Redan under 2015 testade Norge och Sverige att göra gemensam sak i rallycross då det Norska Supercar-mästerskapet arrangerades tillsammans med RallyX i Arvika. Nu är det en gemensam RallyX Nordic-serie som står på agendan och norrmännen är redo för strid mot de svenska förarna. Bland annat ser de redan fram emot finaltävlingen i norska Skien i oktober månad.
– Att köra en final på hemmaplan ska bli väldigt kul. Vi ska ta emot svenskarna på ett lika fint sätt som de tog emot oss på under förra året. Jag tycker det är väldigt bra att RallyX nu blivit en nordisk serie och det är alltid kul att köra i Sverige, säger Ole Kristian Temte som kommer till start i en Citroen C4.
Rutinerade Morten Bermingrud ska köra Ford Focus och siktar högt.
– Jag ska kämpa för pallplatser under säsongen, både i deltävlingarna och totalt. Extra kul också att finalen körs i Norge. Det är en bana jag kört mycket på sedan tidigare.
Tidigare EM-föraren Frode Holte med sin Hyundai I20 var först att bekräfta sin start i RallyX Nordic 2016. Nu är även teamkamraten Jarle Nytrae anmäld i sin Volvo C30 och båda ser fram emot den nya säsongen tillsammans med RallyX.
– Detta är en fantastisk möjlighet för att öka intresset i Norge. Att det sen blir lite som en landskamp mellan Sverige och Norge sätter lite extra krydda på säsongen, säger Jarle Nytrae som rallycross-debuterade 2015.
Frode Holte är också entusiastisk inför mästerskapet till vilket inte mindre än sju norska förare är anmälda. Hittills.
– Jag ser fram emot att komma igång med säsongen. Att vi nu kör ett nordiskt mästerskap känns helt rätt och jag tror det kommer att bli väldigt stort i framtiden. Jag kör för en topp-3 placering i mästerskapet redan från start och siktar stenhårt på att kunna vinna på hemmaplan i avslutningen, säger han.

Norwegians in rush to participate in RallyX Nordic 2016
Frode Holte was the first Norwegian driver to announce his RallyX Nordic campaign for 2016. Now his fellow countryman is joining RallyX Nordic and already the line-up is starting to take shape ahead of the new season. Among the new drivers former ERC-star Morten Bermingrud and Frode Holte making the way into a new interesting season with RallyX Nordic.
Already in 2015 the new cooperation started with the Norwegian Supercars entering RallyX at the event in Arvika. Now its time to join forces and in 2016 it’s a full Nordic championship with four events in Sweden and with a big final in Norway on the way during the year. The Norwegian drivers already look forward to the last event in Skien in the start of October.
– To drive the final at home in Norway is going to be so much fun. We are going to welcome the Swedes with open arms just the way that they did to us last year. I think that is good that the RallyX now is Nordic championship and i like driving in Sweden. Says Ole Kristian Temte who is set to start in the entire championship with a Citroen C4
Morten Bermingrud is set to start in his Ford Focus and the well-experienced driver is aiming high from the start.
– My goal is to fight for podium during this season. Both in the individual rounds and in the total championship. I like that the final is placed in Norway, it’s a track i know very well.
The former ERC-driver Frode Holte with his Hyundai I20 was first to commit to the series in the earlier part of January. Now his teammate Jarle Nytrea is joining in his Volvo C30 and is much looking forward to the New Year.
– It’s a fantastic possibility to spark the interest even more in Norway. And also the battle between Sweden and Norway gives the season a bit more heat. Says Nytrae who made his day view in rallycross in 2015.
Frode Holte also is enthusiastic ahead of the championship with his fellow seven Norwegian countrymen already committed to the new series.
– I’m looking forward to get this season started. That we now have a Nordic championship feels really good. I think this will grow even further in the future. I am aiming for the podium this season. Says Holte ahead of the RallyX Nordic.
